The Islamic Party led by Gulbuddin Hekmatyar claimed in its official statement that Zalmay Khalilzad appears to be Afghanistan’s undeclared president.
The party wrote that Dr. Khalilzad manages the Taliban group’s governance both domestically and internationally.
Khalilzad, referring to increasing insecurity in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, asked Pakistan to negotiate with TTP.
He said that just as he previously suggested negotiations with the Taliban group, now it’s time for Pakistan to negotiate with TTP as well.
Khalilzad emphasized that violence between Pakistan and TTP has caused many casualties among soldiers and civilians, and the political approach must change.
