Fazl Fazli, head of Public Affairs during the republican government, reacted to the internet shutdown by the Taliban group, calling this group a tool for sabotage by colonial forces.

He emphasized that the Taliban group’s goal is to weaken the foundations of government and society.

Fazli said that banning education and technology is characteristic of the Taliban group, but Afghans should not lose hope because the Taliban will never be able to form a government.

He called this situation a dark and difficult period but considered its end inevitable.

According to reports, the Taliban group has cut fiber optic internet and gsm networks across Afghanistan on the orders of their leader Hibatullah Akhundzada to “prevent moral corruption”.

This decision was made about two weeks ago at a governors’ meeting with the Taliban leader’s presence in Kandahar.
