Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai has strongly condemned Pakistan’s airstrikes on Kabul and Paktika province, calling them a clear violation of international law and Afghan sovereignty.

The attacks occurred overnight targeting the Margha market in Barmal district of Paktika province and areas in Kabul.

The former president emphasized that Pakistan’s policies toward Afghanistan and the region have been irresponsible and lack foresight, stating that what Pakistan faces today are consequences of those same flawed policies.

He urged Pakistan to review its harmful policies instead of resorting to blame-shifting and violence, calling for respectful neighborly relations.

The Taliban group also described these attacks as unprecedented in Afghanistan’s history and warned that if tensions escalate further, the consequences will fall on Pakistan’s army.

Local sources reported that three shops in Margha market were set on fire during the bombardment, though no casualties were reported in that specific incident.
