Hamid Karzai, former president, reacted to Pakistan’s recent attacks saying “Pakistan’s benefit lies in stopping its aggression” and reviewing its “harmful policies”.
He described Pakistan’s air and ground strikes on various parts of the country that resulted in civilian casualties as “clear aggression against Afghanistan’s territory and violation of international principles and laws.”
Mr. Karzai stated that Pakistan “is grappling with the consequences of its irrational and short-sighted policies and cannot escape them by attacking the people of Afghanistan”.
Pakistani state media reported yesterday that Pakistani military forces targeted parts of Kabul and Spin Boldak district in Kandahar province in airstrikes after Wednesday morning.
He emphasized: “Pakistan should know that the Afghan people are united and unanimous in defending their soil and homeland.
Pakistan’s benefit lies in stopping its aggression and by reviewing its harmful policies, having friendly and civilized relations with Afghanistan based on neighborly principles and international standards”.
