Afghan cricket stars Rashid Khan and Gulbadin Naib strongly condemned Pakistan’s recent aerial strikes on Afghanistan.
Rashid Khan expressed deep sadness over civilian casualties, including women, children, and aspiring young cricketers who dreamed of representing their nation on the world stage.
Gulbadin Naib also condemned the cowardly military attack in Argun, Paktika province, which resulted in martyrdom of innocent civilians and fellow cricketers.
He described this brutal act by the Pakistani army as an assault on Afghan people, pride, and independence.
Both players supported the Afghanistan Cricket Board’s decision to withdraw from upcoming fixtures against Pakistan.
They emphasized that national dignity must come before everything else and that the Afghan spirit will never be broken despite these tragic events.
