New Delhi police arrested two ISIS members accused of planning terrorist attacks in crowded areas of India’s capital during festival season.
The arrested individuals are Mohammad Adnan Khan, known as Abu Muharib (19), and Abu Mohammad (20), from whose homes ISIS flags and bomb-making manuals were discovered.
The duo published jihadist videos on social media platforms and used them to recruit supporters and coordinate activities.
Investigations revealed they had begun preparing materials needed to make improvised explosive devices.
Abu Mohammad had been previously arrested but resumed terrorist activities after his release on bail in 2024, particularly focusing on recruitment and online propaganda.
Further investigations showed that Abu Muharib and Abu Mohammad had pledged allegiance to an ISIS operative in Syria named Abu Ibrahim al-Qurashi.
Police discovered remote detonation guidebooks and handmade bomb instructions during raids on their residences.
