The Taliban’s economic commission has approved 10 construction projects for markets and commercial-residential buildings worth 2.274 billion Afghanis.
These projects will be implemented in Kabul and six other provinces after final approval from Hibatullah Akhundzada.
According to the Taliban administration’s announcement, two-story commercial markets will be built in Khwaja Ghar Takhar, Sheberghan, Khost center, Mehtarlam Laghman, and the first and eleventh districts of Kabul. Additionally, an agricultural village on 150 acres in Guzara district of Herat and a 20-story building in Kabul’s tenth district are among the approved plans.
The Taliban claims to have focused its administration on economy-centered policies. A commercial complex at Islam Qala border crossing and an underground market in Jalalabad are also included in the new project list. However, the Taliban has not clarified the timeline for completing these construction projects.
