According to sources from the Taliban group’s foreign ministry, Pakistan stated in Istanbul negotiations that it wants this group to launch operations against the Pakistani Taliban (TTP) and declare this group as terrorist.

Sources confirmed that Islamabad threatened that if the Taliban doesn’t do this, Pakistan has the right to conduct airstrikes against its suspicious movements in Afghanistan.

According to sources, however, the Taliban group doesn’t view the Pakistani Taliban as a terrorist group, but considers this matter Pakistan’s internal issue. Talks between Taliban and Pakistani delegations with mediation from Qatar and Turkey have entered their fourth day, and both sides have not yet managed to reach any results.

Earlier, media reported that the delegation representing the Taliban group in these negotiations lacks decision-making authority. Following recent border clashes, Islamabad warned that if TTP attacks from Afghan soil continue, it will conduct targeted military operations inside this country’s territory.
