The Taliban group’s Foreign Ministry denied statements by Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, who claimed that Amir Khan Muttaqi had six phone conversations with him in one day.

The Taliban group’s Foreign Ministry stated on Wednesday in a statement that these claims are “far from reality.”

Zia Ahmad Takal, Deputy Spokesperson of the Taliban group’s Foreign Ministry, said only two phone calls took place between the two sides. According to him, Ishaq Dar expressed ignorance about the complete situation in the first call and said he would call back after obtaining complete information.

The Deputy Spokesperson of the Taliban group’s Foreign Ministry says Ishaq Dar’s “incorrect statements” contradict the spirit of mutual respect and diplomatic interaction between the Taliban group’s administration and Pakistan.

He expressed hope that Pakistani officials would reflect the facts.
