Local officials in Farah province announced that a young girl has been rescued from house arrest after 15 years in Ganj Abad village, Bala Buluk district.
Maulvi Fida Mohammad Saed, district governor of Bala Buluk, said the disabled girl was kept under house arrest by her father Ghulam Rasul.
The local official confirmed that Ghulam Rasul has been referred to judicial and legal authorities.
