The former Director of Zabul provincial hospital, a qualified doctor, has been removed and replaced by Mullah Abdulhai Munib.
The Taliban’s Media office in Zabul announced the new Manager was introduced to staff on Tuesday.
Dr. Sajjad previously managed the hospital.
Although the new Director emphasized standardizing hospital services as a priority, appointing a Mullah instead of a Professional doctor raises serious questions about meritocracy and has caused public concern.
