Yasin Zia, leader of the Freedom Front, responded to Ashraf Ghani’s recent warnings about the risk of Afghanistan’s division by stressing that the resistance against the Taliban group is for the freedom and legitimate rights of Afghans, not for splitting the country.
In his message to the former president, Zia called the armed struggle of Afghans against the Taliban a just and rightful fight.
General Zia accused Ghani of failing his responsibilities during his presidency and remaining silent about the fate of former soldiers.
He described Ghani’s indifference as “collusion” with the Taliban and called the fall of the republic a political, not military, defeat.
The Freedom Front leader added that Afghan forces are reorganizing and will continue their struggle until the people achieve complete victory. He emphasized that Afghans will ultimately determine their own destiny.
