Local sources from Panjshir province report that Taliban intelligence forces have recently arrested four former military personnel in Kabul. The detainees—named Abdul Jalil, Abdul Aziz, Hashmatullah, and Sakhi Dad—are residents of Shotol district in Panjshir and were apprehended last Wednesday from the Khairkhana area in Kabul’s 17th security district.
These former soldiers had recently been expelled from Iran and were transferred to an unknown location after their arrest. Despite the Taliban’s secret leader announcing a general amnesty, arrests, torture, and killings of former military personnel continue.
Previously, the Taliban also detained five former soldiers expelled from Iran at a checkpoint in Parwan province. These actions highlight ongoing violations against former military members by the Taliban.
