Members of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement gathered in London on Sunday, December 7, to protest Pakistan Army operations in Pashtun-populated Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
They called the operations a pretext for home demolitions, activist arrests, and killing of Pashtun civilians, urging the international community to stop the repression.
The movement stated that hundreds of its members have been detained for protesting violence and demanding rights. Zali Wali, the global women’s leader of the movement, accused the Pakistani government of systematic oppression and said their activities will continue in various countries.
The Pakistan Army claims these operations are part of counter-terrorism efforts.
