Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Hanzab, the country’s special envoy, held discussions on the sidelines of a Doha meeting with representatives from various countries about the ongoing fight against ISIS in Afghanistan, Syria, and Africa. These talks were held in separate meetings.
However, Qatar’s foreign ministry did not provide specific details regarding current ISIS threats or countermeasures.
Earlier, French officials noted that ISIS remains active in Afghanistan, the Middle East, and Africa, but with reduced power and reach compared to the past.
