The Taliban’s act of digging up and shooting the body of “Zafar,” a Resistance Front member in Baghlan, has sparked widespread condemnation.
The NRF called it a “cowardly crime,” while former minister Noor Rahman Akhlaqi termed it a “horrific misuse of religion” .
Sources confirm that after discovering Zafar’s grave in Nahrin district, Taliban fighters exhumed his remains to desecrate them.
Akhlaqi remarked that no Islamic tradition justifies such brutality against the deceased, questioning the Taliban’s religious narrative .
This incident exposes the extreme lengths the Taliban will go to in their vendetta against opponents, violating basic human dignity. Rights activists are demanding accountability for these barbaric acts that contravene both Islamic laws and international norms .
