Maria Corina Machado, Venezuela’s main opposition leader, has pledged to return to her homeland as soon as possible.
Speaking to Fox News, she praised US President Donald Trump for the ouster of Nicolas Maduro and declared her movement ready to lead.
Machado, who fled Venezuela in disguise last October to accept the Nobel Peace Prize, dedicated the award to Trump.
She emphasized her commitment to the political transition and stated that her return is a crucial step in restoring democracy to the nation.
The 58-year-old expressed high confidence in her public support, asserting that her coalition would secure over 90 percent of the vote in a free election.
She insisted that the current momentum must be maintained to ensure a fair future for Venezuela.
