Taliban Minister of Public Health, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, has called on citizens to prioritize the use of medicines produced within Afghanistan.

During a meeting with private sector representatives, he claimed the local pharmaceutical industry has matured enough to meet domestic needs.

Jalali emphasized that supporting local products would reduce reliance on imports from neighboring countries, which are often plagued by delays. He argued that self-sufficiency in medicine is crucial for the health sector.

The minister also advised international aid organizations to purchase Afghan-made drugs for their health programs.

He stated that this support is essential for strengthening the country’s pharmaceutical infrastructure.
