Speaking at an event in London, former MP Nilofar Ibrahimi warned that Afghanistan has once again become a safe haven for terrorist groups.
She criticized the Taliban for failing to bring stability, labeling the current situation a serious threat to regional and global security.
Ibrahimi also took aim at politicians from the Republic era, stating that “burnt and failed figures” should not be allowed to dictate Afghanistan’s future again.
She argued that these individuals squandered their past opportunities to serve the people and have lost public trust.
Calling for a new generation of committed leaders, she emphasized the need to move beyond ethnic politics and defend citizens’ rights.
Her speech highlighted the dual necessity of fighting terrorism while rejecting the failed leadership of the past.
