Milad Yusuf Ibrahim, an Afghan-Dutch citizen, has launched his campaign for the city council in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Representing the Social Liberal Party (D66) at number 18 on their list, he aims to tackle housing crises and promote a diverse, inclusive society.

Meanwhile, in France, the Socialist Party has officially nominated Reza Rezaei, originally from Afghanistan, for the municipal elections in Alfortville.

Rezaei, who arrived as a refugee in 2000, has risen to become a recognized young cadre and activist within the party.

These candidacies highlight the growing political engagement of the Afghan diaspora in Europe.

With Dutch municipal elections scheduled for March 18, both candidates are reaching out to their communities for support in their respective cities.
