Taliban officials have inaugurated the construction of a 6.2 km road connecting Kabul to Bagram. During the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar stated that the 455 million Afghani project is funded by the internal budget and is vital for connecting the New Kabul City development.
Baradar criticized past political and ethnic divisions, asserting that the current administration is working to eliminate such rifts. He cited the “unification of the curriculum” up to the sixth grade as a key achievement aimed at fostering national unity and reducing social fragmentation.
He also called on regional and global powers to engage in “positive interaction” with Afghanistan, warning that ignoring the country destroys potential economic opportunities. However, the fragile economy and ongoing restrictions on women remain significant hurdles to normalizing international relations.
