Bollywood comedian Rajpal Yadav has been granted interim bail by the Delhi High Court until March 18, 2026. The actor, who surrendered on February 5 regarding a ₹9 crore cheque bounce case, was granted temporary release to attend his niece’s wedding in Shahjahanpur.
His manager, Goldie, expressed great relief, stating it is a joyous day for the family following the stressful period. The court noted that Yadav has already deposited ₹1.5 crore, a payment confirmed by the lawyer of M/S Murli Projects, the private company involved in the dispute.
Yadav is expected to hold a press conference within a day or two to address the situation publicly. While he faces legal challenges dating back to a 2010 loan for his film Ata Pata Laapata, several industry colleagues have reportedly stepped forward to offer financial backing.
