Tolo news reported that the Department for the Propagation of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in Parwan has announced the burning of over 500 musical instruments and related equipment. Officials stated that these items had been confiscated from the provincial capital and various districts over the course of the past year .
Maqbool Ahmed Waqas, the head of the department, emphasized that this action was taken within the framework of combating “vice” in society. He urged citizens to refrain from using items that are considered contrary to Sharia law and prohibited by the Taliban authorities .
