Ramazan Bashardost, a former parliament member, has made controversial allegations claiming that many suicide attacks during the Republic era were carried out by government security agencies. Specifically, he alleged the attack on the “Enlightenment Movement” was organized by the then-National Security Council .
He further claimed that high-profile assassinations, including those of Mawlawi Ayaz Niazi, Yama Siawash, and General Daud Daud, were executed by circles within the former regime. He argued these acts were falsely blamed on opposition groups .
Former officials have not yet officially responded to these serious accusations. Bashardost’s statements come at a time when many questions remain unanswered regarding the security failures and controversial incidents of the past years .
