The Norwegian Refugee Council announced that 115,000 people in eastern Afghanistan have been displaced in the past two weeks due to clashes between the Taliban and Pakistan. The council warned that these clashes have added a new crisis to Afghanistan's existing crises, with civilians paying the highest price.

According to the council's report, at least 826 homes have been destroyed and 25,000 earthquake survivors in Kunar are on the verge of being evacuated from their shelters. Services at 20 health centers have been suspended and 5 centers were damaged in airstrikes. The organization said it faces a humanitarian budget shortage.

Jacopo Caridi, head of the Norwegian Refugee Council in Afghanistan, called on conflicting parties to respect international humanitarian law and ensure civilians are protected. #Afghan\_Refugees #Border\_Clashes #Humanitarian\_Crisis #Pakistan
