Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai congratulated Eid al-Fitr to the Afghan people in a message released simultaneously with the Taliban's Eid announcement. Mr. Karzai, referring to recent Pakistani attacks, said that standing against foreign aggression and forming national power requires strengthening the country's scientific foundation and achieving consensus and public participation.
He emphasized on his X account the reopening of schools and universities to girls, stating that the doors of schools and universities should be opened to all youth, both girls and boys.
Mr. Karzai said that the ground for women's return to work should be provided so that hope for a dignified life inside the country takes root in people's hearts and Afghanistan achieves progress and development relying on the capable arms of its children.
