The Taliban government's disaster management authority in Kapisa province has confirmed that recent devastating floods have destroyed or severely damaged approximately 40 residential houses in the area.

According to the provided information, the massive destruction primarily occurred in multiple villages located around the provincial center. In addition to the lost homes, hundreds of acres of agricultural land and numerous water canals were washed away.

Heavy rainfall has been consistently hitting various provinces across Afghanistan over the past five days. Initial reports indicate that the extreme weather has tragically claimed dozens of lives and caused massive financial losses.
