Kamal Kharrazi, the former foreign minister and senior advisor to the Supreme Leader of Iran, has died from injuries sustained in a recent airstrike. This targeted joint military operation was reportedly conducted by American and Israeli forces.
Mr. Kharrazi was severely injured on the second of April when his private residence in Tehran was struck. Tragically, his wife was killed instantly during the bombing, which also caused significant damage to their family home.
Kamal Kharrazi was a highly prominent figure in Iranian diplomacy who led the foreign ministry for many years. He also previously served as Iran's ambassador to the United Nations and directed the country's official state news agency.
