Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov has announced that his country will prioritize the situation in Afghanistan if elected as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council. He stressed that Central Asian security is directly tied to Afghan stability.

In a formal message to United Nations leaders, Japarov highlighted Bishkek's continuous delivery of humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people. He specifically pointed out that protecting vulnerable women and children remains a fundamental part of their regional efforts.

The Kyrgyz leader also expressed strong support for the gradual economic and political integration of Afghanistan into the international community. Kyrgyzstan is currently campaigning intensely to secure a highly coveted Security Council seat for the upcoming term.
