The Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs of the Taliban government announced the successful completion of transporting Afghan pilgrims to Saudi Arabia. This year, an estimated 30,000 pilgrims from the country are participating in the annual Hajj pilgrimage.
The massive logistical operation involved 97 flights operated by Ariana Afghan Airlines and Kam Air, departing from four major domestic zones. The systematic return of the pilgrims is meticulously planned and will commence exactly on schedule after the Hajj ceremonies conclude.
The Taliban government previously secured comprehensive service contracts with local Saudi companies and a dedicated hospital. These strategic agreements guarantee that Afghan pilgrims receive adequate transportation, comfortable tents, nutritious food, and essential medical care throughout their sacred journey.
