The Russian pharmaceutical company Pharma Synthez has announced plans to begin exporting vital medical supplies to Afghanistan within two months. This marks the very first time a prominent Russian drug manufacturer will directly enter the country's healthcare and commercial market.

Following a formal agreement with the Ministry of Public Health of the Taliban government, the company will supply essential drugs like insulin and antibiotics. Given recent disruptions in traditional trade routes, securing these critical medications for vulnerable patients is highly important.

Economic experts note that operating in this market presents substantial risks due to ongoing banking restrictions and logistical hurdles. However, the active presence of foreign companies could significantly alleviate the severe medicine shortage in local hospitals.
