Rozita Mortaza, a thirty one year old Afghan doctor who left her country following recent political changes, says complex bureaucracy in the Netherlands has hindered her career. She previously worked at a military hospital in Afghanistan but fled to Europe due to severe security concerns.

Currently living in the Netherlands with her family, Rozita is still not officially permitted to practice medicine. Although she has submitted all necessary documents and successfully passed the Dutch language proficiency exam, she remains stuck on a long waiting list for practical exams due to limited testing capacity.

The young Afghan professional is currently volunteering at a local clinic to familiarize herself with the Dutch healthcare system. She firmly states that despite these frustrating delays and administrative challenges, she will never abandon her lifelong dream of practicing medicine and achieving financial independence in her new home.
