Local security officials confirmed the children were unknowingly playing with the dangerous war remnant. This heartbreaking event follows a similar explosion last week in Paktika province, which killed seven people and injured four others, highlighting the persistent threat.
Over the past year, dozens of individuals across Afghanistan have fallen victim to unexploded ordnance. Children remain the most vulnerable demographic to these hidden dangers, accounting for approximately sixty seven percent of all casualties nationwide.
