The Ministry of Interior of the Taliban government has confirmed that a massive fire broke out in Zardad Market, located in Kabul's bustling Mandawi area. This unfortunate incident has caused at least eight million Afghanis in financial losses for local shopkeepers and traders.

Officials state that an electrical short circuit triggered the sudden blaze. Fortunately, firefighting teams managed to respond swiftly and successfully prevented the dangerous flames from spreading to other sections of the large commercial market.

According to preliminary estimates by the Taliban government, commercial goods worth approximately four hundred and eighty million Afghanis were saved from the destruction. The lack of safety standards and aging electrical networks have always been primary causes of such incidents in Kabul's commercial centers.
