Police in the Indian state of Punjab dismantled an international arms and drug smuggling network. During this major joint operation, seven individuals, including an Afghan citizen, were arrested for conducting major illegal activities.
Indian security forces successfully confiscated large quantities of heroin, advanced firearms, and illegal cash during the raid. Preliminary investigations indicate that this criminal network maintained close ties with individuals operating outside of India.
Indian authorities stated that the gang coordinated their criminal activities through various social media platforms. Interrogations are actively ongoing to identify other members of this network and uncover their broader international smuggling connections.
