Escalating tensions in the Middle East have triggered a noticeable increase in fuel prices across several Afghan provinces, including Kabul, Herat, and Badghis. Citizens report that the price of liquefied gas has reached seventy five Afghanis per kilogram, while petrol is at eighty five Afghanis per liter.

Local residents are expressing frustration as the rising fuel costs are directly increasing transportation expenses and the prices of essential consumer goods. Many are urging the Taliban government to intervene and prevent fuel hoarding and price gouging in local markets.

Afghanistan consumes millions of liters of fuel daily, the vast majority of which is imported from Iran and Central Asian nations. This heavy reliance on imports makes the domestic market highly vulnerable to global price fluctuations.
