Iranian authorities have secretly executed a twenty three year old Afghan citizen named Gol Mohammad Mohammadi in Isfahan province. The young Afghan migrant was hanged alongside an Iranian protester inside the Dastgerd prison facility.
Human rights organizations warn that ten other defendants in the same case are currently facing an imminent risk of execution. The Iranian judicial system accused these individuals of being involved in the killing of security forces during protests.
However, rights groups strongly reject these allegations and describe the trial process as highly unfair and lacking independent legal representation. Activists are urging the international community to take immediate action to stop further executions of vulnerable migrants.
