Pakistan's Foreign Ministry has strongly rejected an Amnesty International report regarding its airstrike on the "Omid" drug rehabilitation center in Kabul. Islamabad insists that all its military operations strictly target known terrorist hideouts and groups.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tahir Andrabi accused the Taliban government of allowing armed groups to operate freely within Afghanistan. He claimed these militant factions use Afghan soil to plan, finance, and execute deadly attacks against Pakistan.
Amnesty International previously reported that at least 269 civilians were killed in the airstrikes, suggesting a possible war crime. Pakistan denied causing civilian casualties and also dismissed allegations of harassing undocumented Afghan migrants during ongoing deportations.
