A courageous father tragically drowned while attempting to save his child from a water canal in Charikar city, Parwan province. The heartbreaking incident occurred when the child accidentally fell into the fast-flowing water project.
The local Taliban police command in Parwan confirmed the sorrowful event, stating that bystanders successfully pulled the child out of the water alive. Unfortunately, the father lost his life in the rescue effort, and his body was later recovered.
According to disaster management authorities, drowning incidents have significantly increased across the country. Over the past year, nearly 150 individuals, including women and children, have tragically lost their lives in various rivers and canals nationwide.
