At a business forum in Tashkent, economic actors from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan agreed on joint export strategies to third-party markets, especially Afghanistan, Syria, and Iraq. The goal is to reach a combined trade volume of $3 billion with Afghanistan.

Kazakhstan's exports to Afghanistan in just the first seven months of this year have already matched total exports from last year, reaching approximately $500 million. Alongside export growth, serious talks are underway for importing raw minerals from Afghanistan, including zinc ore for the Almalyk mining complex in Uzbekistan.

On logistics, both countries proposed utilizing the empty capacity of Turkish trucks transiting the region. Around 350,000 Turkish trucks pass through this route annually, and their drivers do not require Turkmenistan transit visas, offering a cost-effective freight solution.
