The Afghan Freedom Front announced that its forces killed two Taliban members in the Banu district of Andarab valley in Baghlan province. The attack took place on Thursday night, August 21, targeting a Taliban patrol in the village of Mirwa, also wounding one other Taliban member.
The Freedom Front said its forces suffered no casualties in the operation. Simultaneously, the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan also reported a rocket attack the same night on the center of Guzargah-e-Nur district in Baghlan, killing one Taliban member and wounding two others.
The Taliban have not yet commented on any of these incidents. These attacks come as the previous evening the National Resistance Front confirmed the death of Hasib Panjshiri, one of its senior commanders.
