Mujahid had claimed last week in an interview with Deutsche Welle that opposition forces entered Badakhshan through Pakistan's Chitral region, accompanied by Pakistani military personnel. Islamabad responded that no credible evidence had been presented to support these claims.
Pakistan urged the Taliban to address their own internal security problems rather than blaming others, reaffirming Islamabad's support for a stable Afghanistan.
