Taliban forces conducted a night operation in the Chaharsai area of Nahrin district, Baghlan province, killing two senior National Resistance Front commanders identified as Shams, known as "Kharabat," and a commander called "Baba."
According to the Taliban, Shams was the military chief of the resistance in Nahrin, Burka, and Jalga districts, while Baba oversaw Nahrin district. The operation also yielded weapons, ammunition, and a night-vision device.
Separately, two more resistance members were killed in Farghambul valley of Khust district. Local sources told Afghanistan International the victims were civilians. The Resistance Front has not yet commented.
