The Taliban Ministry of Higher Education announced the creation of an Aerospace Faculty with four departments at Kabul Polytechnic University. The faculty will include departments for unmanned aerial vehicle engineering, aircraft engineering, aerospace engineering, and radar and avionics engineering.
The Talibans Supreme Council of Higher Education has approved 28 new faculties and 29 new programs across public and private universities. Five doctoral programs and three medical specialization programs have also been approved.
However, the Taliban have not provided details on the capacity and resources needed to implement these programs, especially the aerospace faculty which is unprecedented in Afghanistan.
