Microsoft has reported blockbuster quarterly financial results, largely driven by significant growth in its cloud services and artificial intelligence divisions. CEO Satya Nadella has expressed strong confidence in the company's future.
Following the earnings announcement, Nadella described the period as a "fast start" to the company's fiscal year in posts on the social media platform X. Revenue from the Microsoft Cloud crossed the $63 billion mark, with its annual growth accelerating to 30 percent.
He emphasized the growth of AI tools, noting that the number of their users has grown more than five times compared to last year. User satisfaction also improved by nearly 20 percent from the previous quarter, reaching a new record.
The Microsoft CEO said the company offers high quality at lower costs. He cited a comparison by "Artificial Analysis" which showed that Microsoft's AI tool, "Fusion," provides quality close to its competitors at a cost up to 77 percent lower, with an average cost of about $5.50 per task.
Looking ahead, Microsoft plans to integrate its Dynamics 365 business capabilities directly into its Copilot AI assistant to help organizations build their own software services.
