According to statistics from Afghanistan’s National Statistics and Information Authority, 4.54 million tons of wheat were produced during the current solar year 1404.

The authority announced that this amount of wheat was produced in Helmand, Kunduz, Herat, Kandahar, Badghis, and Takhar provinces.
These statistics indicate a significant increase in the country’s wheat production, which could play an important role in ensuring food security for Afghans.

Wheat production took place in these provinces as important agricultural regions of the country.

The Taliban group’s Ministry of Agriculture had previously reported increased agricultural production in the country.

This level of wheat production could be effective in reducing import dependency and improving farmers’ economic situation.
