North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has been reappointed as the President of State Affairs. State media reported that this significant decision was formalized during the first session of the Supreme People's Assembly held in Pyongyang.

The assembly session also included extensive discussions on socialist constitutional reforms, the election of the State Affairs Commission chairman, and the structuring of other premier state leadership organs. The Supreme People's Assembly typically convenes to legally codify the ruling party's policies.

According to state media reports, the legislative gathering will also thoroughly review the country's ambitious five year economic plan, which was initially unveiled during the ninth ruling Workers Party congress in February. #NorthKorea #KimJongUn #Politics
