Reports indicate that two earthquakes with magnitudes of 7.2 and 7.5 shook parts of the country. This catastrophic event has caused extensive property damage, destroyed dozens of buildings, and temporarily suspended operations at the Caracas airport and city metro services.
The interim president has declared a nationwide state of emergency. Meanwhile, several countries including the United States, France, Spain, and Germany have expressed their readiness to send relief forces and assist in search and rescue operations.
