Pakistani media reported that a suspected drone strike in the outskirts of Peshawar, Pakistan, has resulted in the death of one woman. Six other members of the same family were also injured in this unexpected incident.
The attack took place in the Hasan Khel area, and the injured victims were immediately transferred to the hospital for medical treatment. Earlier in April, a similar drone strike targeted a local mosque, causing minor damages.
This incident comes as the Taliban government recently claimed to have conducted drone strikes against ISIS hideouts in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Pakistani officials acknowledged the incursions but claimed they successfully shot down the invading drones.
