The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan announced that it carried out an offensive attack on the center of Khust wa Fereng district in Baghlan province on Sunday night, August 17. According to the front's claim, one Taliban member was killed and two others were wounded.
The Resistance Front also claimed that one weapon was seized from the enemy during the operation. The Taliban administration has neither confirmed nor denied the attack so far.
The United Nations has previously verified some claimed attacks by the Resistance Front, Freedom Front, and Sabz Route against the Taliban. Senior Taliban officials consistently deny the physical presence of armed opposition groups.
